All Souls Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 6, at the cemetery of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Newton Grove. The liturgy to remember deceased bishops, priests and the faithful departed of the diocese will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Luis Rafael as the principal celebrant and homilist. Bishop Vincent S. Waters, Bishop Gossman and many priests are buried at the cemetery.

The annual Mass is held outdoors, weather permitting. All are welcome.

Romero, the late Salvadoran archbishop who was shot by an assassin as he celebrated Mass in a hospital chapel in 1980, was canonized as a saint by Pope Francis in 2018.
