The Career Network Ministry has gone VIRTUAL! Join us Saturday, April 25, 2020, at 9 AM for a one-hour online presentation and discussion on "Managing Personal Finances During Disruptive Times" by Jim Wallace, MBA, CFP, of the Millennium Planning Group; a topic that is particularly important as we address the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. We'll cover strategies for managing cash flow and debt obligations, accessing benefits (e.g., unemployment, COBRA, etc.), short- and long-term financial planning and potential stimulus relief programs.

The Ordination to the Transitional Diaconate is on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral at 10:00am. Mass will be private and limited to essential personnel. The Mass will be streamed live on the Diocese of Raleigh You Tube page.

All Souls Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 6, at the cemetery of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Newton Grove. The liturgy to remember deceased bishops, priests and the faithful departed of the diocese will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Luis Rafael as the principal celebrant and homilist. Bishop Vincent S. Waters, Bishop Gossman and many priests are buried at the cemetery.

The annual Mass is held outdoors, weather permitting. All are welcome.

This is the safe environment training that is required for all clergy, employees and those in leadership positions with children and youth. Duke Divinity School and the Center for Reconciliation with the Fiesta Cristiana congregation in Apex will hold a Concert and Worship Service commemorating the 40th anniversary of Oscar Romero’s martyrdom March 22 at 1:30 p.m. at Apex United Methodist Church in Apex, N.C. Romero, the late Salvadoran archbishop who was shot by an assassin as he celebrated Mass in a hospital chapel in 1980, was canonized as a saint by Pope Francis in 2018.
