As part of the Diocese Human Life and Dignity ministries, the Racial Justice and Reconciliation ministry is seeking to help all the faithful in the diocese overcome the sin of racism. To help promote awareness of the sin, we are conducting the USCCB Stations of the Cross: Overcoming Racism during Lent. Individuals can attend in person or via livestream. We start with a Lenten soup supper at 6 p.m., a short presentation at 6:30 p.m. and Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. The stations event is being hosted by the Igbo Community this week.

Experience Christ’s love for us through the Living Stations of the Cross on Friday, April 3 at 2:00 pm. We will begin in the plaza (next to the church portico) and proceed into the church (weather permitting). This powerful and interactive portrayal of Jesus’ passion and death presented by the Hispanic Theater Group will help us all reflect on our faith journey and bring us closer to Him. While the dialogue will primarily be in Spanish, everyone will be able to understand and will be moved by this dramatic presentation, regardless of the language you speak.
Middle school and high school youth will bring the Stations of the Cross to life with a powerful and moving shadow-lit presentation.
