Best practices for physical and spiritual wellbeing with Christ at the center

Reform is a functional medicine and holistic wellness practice rooted in Christ. You may have heard about them from Abiding Together, Hallow, EWTN, the National Catholic Register and other Catholic online platforms.

During the Chrism Mass, diocesan priests renew their priestly vows together with their fellow priests and other representatives from the 96 parishes, campus ministries and mission churches in the Diocese of Raleigh. Bishop Zarama also blesses the holy oils and sacred chrism, which will be used across the diocese throughout the year for sacraments such as baptism, confirmation and anointing of the sick.

The Rite of Election will be celebrated for the catechumens of the Diocese of Raleigh on the first Sunday of Lent. The Rite will be centered on the transition of the catechumens, those being prepared for baptism, confirmation and first Eucharist, into the elect.

Family Honor, Inc., is hosting this truly unique chastity program for families. Changes & Challenges is designed for parents and 11- and 12-year-old preteens to connect and communicate about God’s gift of sexuality, chastity, fertility appreciation, true worth and lots more. A recent participating parent shared, “It’s a straightforward approach to sexuality, involving the whole person.” Cost is $15 for one parent and one child or $20 per family.

This course will be given in Spanish. Participants will learn Catholic teachings about sexuality, love, marriage, parenting and family, and how to express them to others. Topics include the Roots of the Sexual Revolution, Fertility Appreciation, Child Development and the Importance of Family, Male-female Complementarity, the Theology of the Body, and more. There will be approximately 12 hours of instruction. Dinner on Friday night and lunch on Saturday are included in the course fee, along with books and materials. Participation will be limited to 25 students.
