Though we cannot gather the entire diocese together to celebrate, we can be joined together in prayer as we all use Sunday, November 17, 2024, for Centennial Sunday in each of our parishes. On that weekend, each parish, mission, and campus ministry will be joined together in a prayer of thanksgiving for the many graces in our past and praying for Our Lord’s continued blessing upon our future. This commemorative Mass will mark the centennial of the Diocese of Raleigh and celebrate the ideas of servant leadership and life-giving love, which have been present throughout our 100-year history. Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama will celebrate the Mass, with His Eminence Wilton Cardinal Gregory offering the homily.

'Gather at the Globe' to pray for our Earth and its inhabitants at the start of the Season of Creation 2024. Meet Saturday September 7 at 11 a.m. outside under the world globe on the campus of the NC Natural Science Museum at 11 W. Jones St., Raleigh NC. Please join us for lunch at the museum afterward. Hosted by the director of NC Catholics Caring for our Common Home (N4CH).

This is the safe environment training that is required for all clergy, employees and those in leadership positions with children and youth. This session is for either initial safe environment training or for those who prefer renewal via a live session. A funeral Mass will be held for Msgr. Jeffrey Ingham on Friday, August 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral in Raleigh. Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama will preside; Bishop Michael Burbidge will share a homily. A reception will follow.
Magnificat is a diocesan-wide women’s ministry that exists to evangelize and encourage Catholic women to grow by opening themselves up more fully to the power of the Holy Spirit. Magnificat ministers to Catholic women whose faith in Jesus Christ has allowed God to be active in their lives, or to those women who wish to have God more active in their lives.
