Este programa, acerca de un ambiente seguro, es requerido para todo el clero, los empleados y aquellos en cargos de liderazgo que trabajan con niños y jóvenes. Esta capacitación es tanto para aquellos que la hacen por primera vez, como para los que necesitan la actualización de los 5 años. Este evento es entrenamiento para el movimiento de Alvernia Juvenil.

Reverend Pius Wekesa, pastor for Holy Cross, Durham, and the diocesan chaplain for the Swahili community, will be the homilist. The African Heritage Mass honors the African American, Francophone, Igbo, and Swahili Catholic communities, all a part of the diocesan African Ancestry Ministry & Evangelization Network (AAMEN) Office programs.
