Catholics for Abolition in North Carolina (CANC) looks forward to sharing what will be an unforgettable evening with you. Sr. Helen Prejean, known around the world for her tireless work against the death penalty, will be joining us LIVE through Zoom to a gathered audience. Sr. Helen, author of Dead Man Walking, has been instrumental in sparking national dialogue on capital punishment and in shaping the Catholic Church’s vigorous opposition to all executions.
Please join this CANC event being held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Community (11401 Leesville Rd, Raleigh) on Wednesday, September 17, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. There will be light refreshments and an opportunity to learn and grow in following Catholic Social Teaching and the change to Catechism 2267 for abolition of the death penalty in our nation and worldwide. For more info and to RSVP: director@catholicsforabolitionnc.org.
