Father Andrew McNair will share the incredible story of Saint Josephine Bakhita and her journey from slave to saint.

Father Andrew McNair is a native of Swansboro, North Carolina. He entered the seminary in 1985 and was ordained a priest in 1997 in Rome, Italy. He studied classical humanities in Salamanca, Spain, and philosophy and Theology in Rome. Before ordination, he served as a missionary for three years in the Yucatán peninsula in Mexico, working with the Mayan natives.

Alumni from Jesuit educational institutions and their families are invited to join fellow alumni at Saint Raphael Catholic Parish's 10:30 am Mass on Sunday, November 3. This special day is all about rekindling connections with fellow Jesuit alumni and friends in commemoration of the Feast of All Saints and Blessed of the Society of Jesus. There will be a time for fellowship in the Lewis Room after the Mass. RSVP is requested for the reception after the Mass.

In response, Catholics in the United States are joining with people of other faiths to pray, and to work for a just peace in the region; one in which human dignity is protected, peoples are reconciled, and peace prevails.

On Tuesday, October 29 at 7:00 pm, Saint Raphael's Caring Ministry will host Professor Judith Paparozzi in the Lewis Room for a presentation, titled, "Human Trafficking, A Pro Life Issue." Professor Paparozzi is an expert on the issue of human trafficking. She will speak to the pervasiveness of human trafficking locally, nationally, and how it affects each of our lives. She will also address how parishioners can safeguard themselves and loved ones (including on social media), and how they can fight this exploitative social ill.

Join us for the 15th Annual St. Michael the Archangel Holiday Fair. Enjoy a festive shopping experience featuring unique holiday gifts from local crafters, artists, and direct sales consultants. The fair will take place in the parish center building.

During the fair, you'll have a chance to win amazing gift baskets filled with items donated by our vendors! Raffle tickets are $1 each, 6 for $5, or $20 for a "wingspan." All raffle sales will benefit the Preschool Scholarship Fund.
