Come to St. James Parish in Henderson to complete your training in recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect. This is the safe environment training that is required for all clergy, employees and those in leadership positions with children and youth. Parents are welcome to attend! Please call St. James Parish (252-438-3124) to register and for directions to the scheduled meeting room. Please register to ensure we have enough materials. This training is for adults. Members of area churches and civic groups are welcome to attend.

Have you already attended a Safe Environment Training Class? Would you like to be trained to facilitate these sessions, which help adults gain the capacity to recognize and report child abuse and neglect? This is a session to "Train Trainers." The session will be offered in English, and the materials presented are available in both English and Spanish. St. Patrick Catholic Church will hold its traditional annual Oktoberfest dance (ages 21+) at the Saint Brigid Social Hall, 2844 Village Dr., Fayetteville, NC, on Sunday, October 6, 2019, from 4 to 9 PM. The Raleigh, NC, Little German (20-piece) Band will guarantee excellent entertainment from 5 to 9 PM, with its Bavarian Brass Band music; singing traditional Bavarian Oktoberfest songs and giving demonstrations about Bavarian folk dances. German food and beer will be available for purchase.
