This service opportunity is open to all interested in lending a hand to help those impacted by these recent disasters, and projects may include painting, putting up drywall, laying down flooring, framing, plumbing and other tasks associated with rebuilding storm-damaged homes.

The Catholic Center in Raleigh at 7200 Stonehenge Drive will host a training in recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect. This is the safe environment training that is required for all clergy, employees and those in leadership positions with children and youth. This session is for either initial safe environment training or for those needing the 5-year renewal. 

Blessed Sacrament School in Burlington will host a training in recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect. Simbang Gabi is a Filipino tradition of celebrating a series of novena masses over nine days in anticipation of Christmas. The Mass will be followed by a bake sale of Filipino pastries and treats. All treats are $1 or $2 each.
