The White Mass is the traditional name given for the Mass for medical professionals, drawn from the white coats that physicians still wear, and the white uniforms worn by nurses in times past. It is typically held around the Feast of St Luke. St. Luke was an educated Greek physician, author of the Gospel of St. Luke and a companion of the Apostle Paul who remained with him when he was imprisoned in Rome.

Juneteenth (Jubilee Day) is a holiday celebrated in the United States commemorating the liberation of the last group of African Americans enslaved by the Confederacy in the state of Texas. In our diocese, the African Ancestry Ministry and Evangelization Network (AAMEN) holds its annual ministry family reunion during the month of June. All are welcome to come celebrate with family, fun, food and worship!

Bring your lawn chairs and be prepared to celebrate!
