Raleigh, N.C. — The Diocese of Raleigh, in partnership with Cardinal Gibbons High School, has announced plans to open a new Catholic high school on the Cary–Raleigh border in fall 2028. The school will welcome an inaugural class of 100–125 freshmen and is expected to reach 400–500 students at full enrollment.
Rooted in a strong Catholic identity, the school will offer a rigorous college‑preparatory curriculum, comprehensive athletics, vibrant visual and performing arts, and a deep commitment to service. The school’s name and mission will be announced in late spring or early summer of 2026.
Community survey now open
A community survey is now available for families, parishioners, and local residents to share their ideas and priorities for the new school. Organizers say this input will play a key role in shaping the school’s foundation. The survey closes February 27.
