‘United in faith and community’ Catholic Schools Week 2026 begins

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Diocese of Raleigh joins Catholic schools across the nation in celebrating Catholic Schools Week Jan. 26 – Feb. 1. The week is set aside to honor the vital role of Catholic education in forming young minds and hearts.

The Diocese of Raleigh serves more than 9,600 students across 29 Catholic schools in eastern North Carolina. Throughout the week, schools will host special activities including Mass, open houses, service projects and celebrations recognizing students, teachers, families and community partners.

This year's theme — United in Faith and Community — emphasizes the unique mission of Catholic schools to provide an education rooted in Gospel values while maintaining academic excellence.

Students in diocesan schools consistently demonstrate strong academic performance while developing a commitment to service, leadership and faith.
