Sixteen faithful of the Diocese of Raleigh, who have been honored by Pope Francis for their extraordinary service to the Catholic Church and the Holy See, will receive medals at a livestreamed ceremony Feb. 12 within the context of Evening Prayer at Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral. The honorees were nominated in writing by Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama as part of the centennial celebration of the Diocese of Raleigh in 2024.
In this video, Bishop Luis expresses gratitude for the faithful service of our diocese. These honorees represent all of us—their recognition is a celebration of our entire diocese. Together, we shine as a community of faith, united in service and gratitude.
