Bishop announces latest priest appointments

Most Reverend Luis Rafael Zarama, Bishop of Raleigh, is pleased to convey the following official appointment and announcements regarding priestly ministry in the Diocese of Raleigh.

Effective August 15, 2022

Reverend Vincent P. Rubino, O.F.M. Conv., a priest of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual, Parochial Vicar at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Burlington, is appointed Pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Burlington.

Effective September 2022

Reverend Peter A. Grace, C.P., a priest of the Congregation of the Passion, Pastor of Saint Ann Parish in Clayton, who was next in total votes in the August 2021 Religious Order Council of Priest Election, is appointed to a one-year term on the Council of Priests, replacing Father Phillip Hurley, S.J.

Reverend Monsignor Gerald L. Lewis, a retired priest of the Diocese and serving as Diocesan Archivist, who was next in total votes in the August 2021 Diocesan Priest Council of Priest Election, is appointed to a one-year term on the Council of Priests, replacing Father Noé Ramirez de Paz.

Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama expresses his sincere appreciation to Reverend Paul D. Lininger, O.F.M., Conv., for his many years of faithful and generous priestly ministry as Pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Burlington. Father Lininger has been assigned to priestly ministry in another diocese by his Provincial Minister.
