Who Influenced/Inspired you to the Priesthood: Two things: Meeting a few young priests when working for the summer out in Denver, CO, when I was in college who were normal guys and praying with the scriptures and going on an eight-day silent retreat.

What would you say to a young man who thinks he may have a vocation: Do not be afraid. God knows that your vocation will bring you joy. Do not just put discernment on the back burner, but really try and dive into it courageously.

Favorite Scripture Passage: John 8:31-32 - "Truly, truly I say to you, if you remain in my word you are truly my disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free."

Favorite Saint: Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati - Italian mountain climber and the life of the party, this man embodies manly virtues and authentic joy in all circumstances; I relate to his great loves and even some of his struggles and desires.

Anything else of note you would like to share with Diocese: I worked for three years as a FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) missionary at the University of Connecticut. I have been skydiving. One of my favorite quotes that I think is so true of a call to the Priesthood:  "Man only finds himself by making a sincere gift of himself."
