Safe Environment Training
St. Mary Magdalene Parish in Apex will host a training in recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect. The session will take place Thursday, May 23, at 6:30pm. This is the safe environment training that is required for all clergy, employees and those in leadership positions with children and youth. Parents are welcome to attend! Please call the parish and register with Bertha Smith (bsmith@stmm.net, 919-657-4800, ext 7301) and to get the meeting room location The session will help enhance adults capacity to recognize and report child maltreatment. This session is for initial safe environment training or for those needing the 5-year renewal.
