In response to Pope Leo XIV's surgery Oct. 13 to remove a cancerous nodule from his lung, Bishop Luis Zarama shared the following message:
“I invite the faithful of the Diocese of Raleigh, and all people of good will, to join me in prayer for our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV,” Bishop Luis said.
"May the Lord’s comforting presence surround him and the medical professionals entrusted with his care. Let us ask our loving and merciful God to grant him strength, healing, and renewed health.”
