Position Summary:
St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School is seeking a highly motivated part-time faculty member to teach 5th grade ELA and to assist in 5th & 6th grade Math during the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and execute lessons for a 5th grade ELA group.
- Provide classroom support to the lead teacher in 5th & 6th grade Math and ELA by assisting with small group instruction and supervision of students.
- Meet the individual needs of the children and create a classroom environment that is consistent with the mission of the school and parish.
- Take initiative to direct, guide and motivate the children in their learning.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience teaching elementary/middle school students.
- Practicing Catholic in good standing.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective lesson plans.
- Ability to relate well with students and manage a classroom environment.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Teaching License
- Experience in Catholic education
