As political divisions continue to shape public life, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has launched a new “Faith Before Politics” resource to help Catholics engage in civic life through a faith-based lens.
The initiative highlights the Church’s teaching that Catholics should allow their relationship with Jesus Christ, Sacred Scripture, and Catholic social teaching to guide their participation in public life.
Available resources include Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship, bulletin inserts, videos, and prayer materials to help Catholics reflect on key principles such as human dignity, the common good, solidarity, and subsidiarity.
The site also promotes respectful civic dialogue through the bishops’ “Civilize It: A Better Kind of Politics” campaign.
