Aftercare Program Supervisor

Hours per week: 30 hours

Position Summary:

St. Mary Magdalene Catholic School is seeking a caring, organized, and faith-filled individual to serve as our Aftercare Program Supervisor for students in PK3 through Grade 8. This part-time leadership position is approximately 30 hours per week and plays an important role in supporting our students, families, and after-school staff.

The Aftercare Program Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the school’s aftercare program, ensuring a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment rooted in Catholic values.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily aftercare programming for PK3–Grade 8 students
• Hire, schedule, train, and supervise aftercare staff
• Maintain positive communication with families regarding program updates, student needs, and policies
• Coordinate and oversee enrichment clubs and activities
• Manage student attendance, registration, and billing processes
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for all students
• Maintain compliance with school policies and safety procedures
• Collaborate with school administration and faculty to support students and families
• Foster a joyful and faith-centered atmosphere within the program

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in education, child development, psychology, recreation, or a related field OR equivalent experience in childcare, school-age programming, camp leadership, or school administration
• 2-3 years working with children and adults in a school, childcare, camp, or after-school setting
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Experience working with children and families
• Staff management experience
• Reliability and strong communication abilities
• Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
• Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
