Position Summary:
The Affiliate Coordinator is essentially the “face” of the local Family Honor team. He/she coordinates all administrative and marketing activity for the local affiliate and is the primary person who communicates with the national office regarding these functions.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinates with team members to determine which and how many programs are to be presented during each program year and identifies potential host sites.
- Meets with potential host sites about hosting programs and handles necessary paperwork and billing for program booking.
- Works with the parish/school to set up registration.
- Prepares detailed attendance record for each program and emails completed record to Family Honor South Carolina (FH-SC) after final program session.
- Updates FH-SC with program scheduling, location, and any pertinent details for online registration and their promotion.
- Promotes programs locally.
- Communicates with Team Leader about filling roles for each scheduled program and assigning roles to members of the local team.
- Coordinates participation as vendor at local events: handles registration and communication with event organizers; arranges team members to staff table; determines display materials to be used.
- Educates clergy and staff at Diocesan parishes about Family Honor and its mission.
- Attends Board meetings via Zoom every other month and provides program and team updates, and any relevant news from FH-SC.
- Schedules, hosts and promotes “Understanding the Human Person” course, the first step for presenter training.
- Assists with ongoing recruitment for presenters.
- Assigns mentors to new presenters; assists with training process.
Minimum Requirements:
- Professional experience in the area's of Administrative and Marketing.
- Ability to articulate Family Honor’s mission.
- Communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Understanding and appreciation of Catholic teaching on sexuality, love and marriage; familiarity with Pope Saint John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.
- Bilingual (Spanish).
Supervises: Team of approximately 15 volunteer presenters in English and Spanish
