Key responsibilities:
- Embrace and actively support the mission of Saint Raphael Catholic School as articulated at the diocesan and school level
- Serve as a missionary disciple, forming students not only academically, but spiritually, recognizing that formation is greater than information
- Model and live the teachings of the Catholic Church, serving as a visible witness of the faith in word and action
- Plan and deliver high-quality instruction that challenges each student to reach his or her God-given potential
- Serve as the leader of the classroom, establishing a structured, joyful, and orderly learning environment
- Implement differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Use student data and assessment intentionally to inform instruction and improve outcomes
- Utilize science-based instructional strategies and resources aligned with best practices in education
- Integrate technology thoughtfully and purposefully to enhance learning, not distract from it
- Engage fully in ongoing professional development and demonstrate a commitment to continuous growth and improvement
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, contributing to a positive, professional culture marked by humility, flexibility, and shared mission
- Maintain strong, charitable, and professional relationships with students, parents, faculty, and administration
- Communicate clearly and consistently with parents regarding student progress and classroom expectations
- Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and school initiatives as needed
Minimum Requirements:
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, whose life reflects a commitment to the teachings of the Catholic faith and who is able to serve as a witness to students and the school community
- Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education
- Valid North Carolina teaching license in content area
- Minimum Amount of Work Experience:
- Years of related work experience 2-3 years of teaching experience
- Area of related work experience in Education/Teaching
- Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and instructional excellence
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Employment is contingent on the applicant passing a full background check and reference checks, and completion of diocesan sponsored Safe Environment Training.
