Position Summary:

St. Egbert Catholic School, a vibrant Pre-K–5 Catholic elementary school, is seeking a creative and mission-driven Communications and Digital Coordinator to join our team. This part-time role is responsible for coordinating school messaging across print, digital, and social media platforms in a way that invites families and the broader community into our school story, informs them clearly and consistently, and inspires them to engage more deeply in our shared mission.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a consistent communications calendar for school-wide announcements, events, and celebrations.
  • Create, edit, and distribute weekly or biweekly email newsletters for parents, highlighting key information, upcoming events, and community successes.
  • Manage school social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram), including drafting posts, selecting photos, and monitoring engagement in alignment with school and diocesan guidelines.
  • Update and maintain content on the school website in collaboration with the principal and office staff.
  • Design flyers, digital graphics, print materials for events, fundraisers, and school initiatives using user-friendly design tools (e.g., Canva).
  • Capture and curate photos and short stories from classrooms and events that showcase student learning, faith formation, and school culture.
  • Ensure all communications reflect the Catholic identity, values, and mission of St. Egbert Catholic School.
  • Coordinate with faculty and staff to gather information, deadlines, and highlights for inclusion in school communications.
  • Maintain brand consistency in tone, style, and visual identity across all platforms.

Minimum Requirements:

  • HS Diploma required.
  • 0-2 years of work experience in a related area.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education and willingness to support the faith life of the school.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail, clarity, and tone appropriate for parents and community stakeholders.
  • Comfortable taking photos at school events and interacting positively with students, staff, and families.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple deadlines, and responsive to time-sensitive communication needs.
  • Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
  • Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with basic graphic design and digital communication tools (e.g., Canva, email marketing platforms, social media scheduling tools) preferred.
