Key responsibilities:
- Implement the Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) curriculum with fidelity, fostering strong reading comprehension, vocabulary development, writing skills, and rich discussion through literature and informational texts while building knowledge across content areas.
- Use CKLA instructional routines and assessments to monitor student progress, support diverse learners, and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all students.
- Integrate technology into instruction as appropriate and collaborate with the Technology Integration Specialist and Media Specialist to enhance learning, support research and digital literacy, and enrich CKLA units and student projects.
- Collaborate regularly with grade-level colleagues, support staff, and administration to plan instruction, align curriculum, and provide a cohesive and supportive learning experience for students.
- Serve as an active participant in the faith life of the school and assist in planning and implementing Catholic Social Teaching (CST) Days and other service-learning opportunities that support the mission of the parish and school community.
Minimum Requirements:
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
- Minimum level of Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Area of related work experience: Elementary Education and Language Arts
- Experience teaching elementary language arts in an innovative and engaging format
- Experience in utilizing a variety of classroom technologies
