BAA donors bring hope and help to local parishes

Through the generosity of those who support the Diocese of Raleigh Bishop’s Annual Appeal, parishes across eastern North Carolina are receiving the help they need to strengthen their ministries and care for their communities. In 2025 alone, $46,600 in Parish Assistance Grants funded 12 projects—many in rural parishes—supporting improvements such as sound systems, faith formation materials, security upgrades, and facility repairs.

One parish touched by these grants was All Souls Catholic Church in Columbia, North Carolina, where funding helped address an important need: replacing worn flooring in the sanctuary.

Through the leadership and vision of Father Anit Jacob, MS, what once seemed like an overwhelming task became a reality that now blesses the entire parish. What might appear to be a simple improvement is, in truth, something far more meaningful. The new floor creates a safer, warmer, and more welcoming space where parishioners can gather for faith formation, shared meals, and community events, strengthening the bonds of a community that comes together to grow in faith, friendship, and service.

These projects are a powerful reminder that gifts to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal do more than fund programs—they strengthen the places where people walk together in faith. Every improved classroom, safer gathering space, and repaired facility helps ensure that our parishes remain vibrant homes for worship, learning, and community for years to come.

Your support of the Bishop’s Annual Appeal turns prayer into hope and hope into help.

Our abundant thank you and blessings.
