Position Summary:
The sacristan, a practicing, active Catholic, under the general direction of the Director of Liturgy & Music, undertakes the overall preparation of liturgical celebrations. His or her primary role is to attend to the details of the liturgy in order to “help the liturgy be the act of the whole church” and to ensure a proper environment and model for worship.
Key responsibilities:
- Attend to details of liturgies as assigned
- Serve as liturgical minister as necessary
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED .
- Service as a liturgical minister or related work experience.
- Spanish language fluency preferred.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
