Expanding Our Mission: New Catholic High School Opening In 2028
The Diocese of Raleigh, in partnership with Cardinal Gibbons High School, will open a new Catholic high school on the Cary–Raleigh border in fall 2028. The school will welcome an inaugural class of 100–125 freshmen and will grow to 400–500 students at full enrollment.
Rooted in a strong Catholic identity, the school will offer a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum alongside comprehensive athletics and visual and performing arts programs, as well as a meaningful commitment to service and community outreach.
The school name and mission will be announced in late spring/early summer (2026).
