Position Summary:
St. Francis Preschool in Raleigh, NC is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher Assistant who is passionate about providing a faith-filled educational experience to the children enrolled in our 2 year old program.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher in providing a faith-filled education experience, sharing in the responsibilities for the safety and physical well-being of the children.
- Engage children in play and activities that are age and developmentally appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing background and reference checks.
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a play-based early childhood center

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Community in the Diocese of Raleigh, NC, is a large, vibrant parish (approximately 5,000 families). Our Preschool is part of our Educational Ministries and offers a variety of classes for children beginning at age 2. We provide a structured curriculum with specials in Music & Movement, Spanish, Science, and Service. With enrollment of approximately 160 children, we provide an intimate teacher to student ratio, promote active parent involvement, and provide faith formation opportunities.
