Begin National Black Catholic History Month with the diocesan AAMEN leadership team in “A Conversation with Fr. A. Gerard Jordan about the Ministry and Evangelization of African Ancestry Catholics.”
The Reverend Canon A. Gerard Jordan, is a consecrated religious, a canon, and a priest of the Church with the Order of Canons Regular Prémontré. He is also a Titular Canon of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem and is entitled to the privileges of that office as he does the work of that ministry here in the Americas in all Catholic social settings and social justice circles. He is one of only four African American men in this country who are ordained canons and the only African American priest in the USA to be both a religious canon and a secular canon.
