Program aims to help donors 'think Catholic' on national giving day

What do 13 Diocese of Raleigh parishes, five schools and five agencies/ministries have in common?

All 23 registered with #iGiveCatholic, a program that supports a giving day held on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. (For anyone keeping track, it goes: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Cyber Monday and then #iGiveCatholic.)

It’s the U.S. Catholic Church’s Giving Day, and it kicks off the charitable season and brings the Catholic community together to give thanks.

The goal of #iGiveCatholic is to inspire the Catholic community to come together as faithful stewards and to "Give Catholic" on #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back.

This year, THE FOUNDATION of the Diocese of Raleigh is underwriting the cost of the program. While the program is new in eastern North Carolina, it’s in its sixth year nationally. Nearly 40 other archdioceses, dioceses and foundations raise funds using the program.
