Pope Francis confirmed that he plans to publish a document on the Sacred Heart in September.

I believe that it will do us a lot of good to meditate on various aspects of the Lord's love that can illuminate the path of ecclesial renewal but also say something meaningful to a world that seems to have lost heart.
The Pope made this announcement in the year being dedicated to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, the 17th century French nun who spread the devotion to the Sacred Heart.

I ask you to accompany me in prayer during this time of preparation with the intention of publishing this document next September.
The document will reflect on what other magisterial texts have pointed out in the past to promote this devotion.
