At the Easter Vigil, many received sacraments of initiation and thereby became the newest Catholics in the Diocese of Raleigh! A father-son pair was part of the group at St. Andrew the Apostle in Apex. In Chapel Hill, four friends went through O.C.I.A. together during their freshman year of college. They were part of a group of 17. And at Sacred Heart in Whiteville, a parish of about 250 families, 19 individuals were welcomed.
In this video, Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama discusses the challenges and joys ahead of them and others in the diocese who also recently came into full communion with the Church. Listen as Bishop Luis talks about friendship with Jesus and see photos from the parishes throughout the diocese.
