Diocese remembers Bishop Gossman, 10 years after his death

Bishop F. Joseph Gossman led the Diocese of Raleigh for 31 years. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, he was ordained a bishop in 1968 at age 38. He came to Raleigh in 1975 and led this diocese until his retirement in 2006. He was known for his humility, care of others, inter-faith efforts and trust in God. He died Aug. 12, 2013, and is remembered on the 10th anniversary of his death.
