RALEIGH, NC — The Diocese of Raleigh has announced significant improvements to its Lay 403(b) Retirement Plan, effective August 1, 2025, aimed at bolstering the financial security of eligible employees as they prepare for retirement.
The diocese will increase its core contribution from 4% to 5% of an employee’s base pay. This contribution is deposited directly into an employee’s retirement account, regardless of their personal contributions to the plan. Additionally, the employer match will rise from 50% on the first 5% of employee contributions to 50% on the first 8%, providing a stronger incentive for employees to invest in their retirement savings.
“These enhancements reflect our commitment to supporting the long-term well-being of our dedicated employees,” said said Charisse Butler, Benefits Administrator. “We hope these changes will help our staff build a more secure financial future.”
