Effective June 1, 2025, the Retirement Defined Benefit Plan for Lay Employees of the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh, NC, is now being administered exclusively through the United of Omaha Life Insurance Company.
Pension recipients should make note of the following:
- Duplicate Payment
- As a result of a Fifth Third Bank error, a duplicate pension payment was made for June 1, 2025.
- Direct deposit payments from Fifth Third Bank are being REVERSED/CANCELLED. This process could take up 5 to 7 days, depending upon your bank.
- Paper pension checks from Fifth Third Bank have been CANCELLED. Please DO NOT DEPOSIT or CASH.
- As a result of a Fifth Third Bank error, a duplicate pension payment was made for June 1, 2025.
- IMPORTANT information regarding your future pension payments
- Beginning on June 1, 2025, all pension payments will be paid by Mutual of Omaha.
- Letters received from Mutual of Omaha are NOT A SOLICITATION – they are LEGITIMATE and should be read carefully.
