AAMEN Day of Reflection

The African Ancestry and Evangelization Network (AAMEN) chapters, communities and organizations of the Diocese of Raleigh met recently for a Spirit-filled Day of Reflection at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Durham.

After celebrating Mass, the group discussed the recent National Black Catholic Congress 2019 Pastoring in Black Catholic Parishes conference and the resulting “Pastoral Plan of Action.” Amidst lively conversation and fellowship, the group set the goals and objectives for this year’s AAMEN work within the parishes, deaneries and communities in which they serve.

Among the focus of this year’s work will be: Black Spirituality and the Saints, Addressing Social Justice Issues, and Youth Ministry. Please look for more updates as AAMEN task groups work to embrace a mission spirit to bring forth the Good News and Love of our Lord!
