Diocesan Delegation Attends the V Regional Encuentro

On February 22 to 24 in Miami, the (Arch) dioceses of the Episcopal regions V and XIV of the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops met at the Fifth Regional Encuentro of Hispanic/Latino Ministry, under the theme: “Disciples and Missionaries, Witnesses of the Love of God.”

Moments of prayer, reflection, consultation and celebration marked the work that the diocesan delegations, bishops, priests, religious and lay leadership, carried out at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Doral, FL, under the coordination of the Southeast Pastoral Institute (SEPI). Its aim was to share pastoral experiences, diocesan reports and develop a regional report to present at the V National Encuentro for Hispanic/Latino Ministry, which will be held in September in Grapevine, TX.

Our Diocese of Raleigh was present with a delegation of thirteen participants from eight deaneries. Thanks to their leadership and hard work in the implementation of the guide and participation at the Inter-parish and diocesan Encounters, they were invited amongst many missionary disciples through the diocesan process in the communities, where this work began since the month of February.
