- Shows clear signs of being a committed Catholic and follower of Jesus (has gone through the stages of conversion personally)
- Can authentically and faithfully transmit the kerygma as part of one’s lived experience
- Good interpersonal skills
- Understands the role of love, mercy, healing and joy as a part of their ministry
- Spiritual gifts may include service, helps, faith, prayer, encouragement, wisdom
- Is prayerful before speaking or acting
