Mark grew up in Illinois, but he graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN with a B.A. in psychology. In 1990, he received his M.A. in Theology and Christian Ministry from Franciscan University of Steubenville. He graduated in 1997 from Marquette University with a Ph.D. in Theology and Psychology. During the 37 years of his professional life, Mark has taught at nearly every level of education from elementary school up to graduate school, always in Catholic institutions. Since Nov. 2019, he has been the remote Strategic Partnership Liaison Fellow of the Catechetical Institute of Franciscan University. He has written numerous scholarly and popular articles as well as scholarly and devotional books.
