Season of Creation begins September 1 to October 4, and you are invited to "Gather at the Globe" September 12, 12 noon, at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences Globe courtyard (11 W Jones St. Raleigh) when NC Catholics Caring for our Common Home will reflect and pray using this year's theme for the season.
The 2026 theme, “Living Water,” draws from Ezekiel’s vision of a river that restores barren land, heals damaged waters, and allows life to flourish again. This is not only a vision to admire. In a world where rivers are polluted, water is depleted, and entire communities struggle to access what all life depends upon, it asks us to see where creation has been wounded—and how we are being called to become part of its restoration.
Bring family/friends, a small vial of water, and a small sign with the name of your favorite waterway or body of water. After the reflection, join NC Catholics Caring for our Common Home for Dutch lunch at the museum restaurant. Stay and visit the museum and discover the treasures of the natural world. Fall in love with creation again.
