Family Honor will present its newly updated retreat program, Real Love & Real Life, for parents with their 7th or 8th grade child at St. Michael the Archangel parish in Cary on February 1 and February 3. This program builds a bridge for parents and adolescents to talk about love, life, God’s gift of sexuality, true worth, future dating and lots more. The Thursday night session is for parents only and will equip parents to talk about some of the hot button issues in our culture, including gender dysphoria, pornography, same sex attraction, comprehensive sex education and God’s plan for sexual intimacy. A portion of the Saturday session includes a fertility presentation with Q&A, divided by gender to protect modesty. Cost is $10, and lunch is included on Saturday. The program is fun, interactive and informative and guaranteed to strengthen the bond between parent and teen.
