Do you want to celebrate your love for "Our Sister Earth" with Bishop Luis Zarama? You are invited to join him on Sunday, Oct 11, for the 9 a.m. Mass at St. Francis of Assisi, with a reception following. He will be announcing the Diocese of Raleigh's participation in a Vatican sponsored initiative, the Laudato Si' Action Platform (LSAP).
LSAP provides a framework for Catholics and Catholic institutions to put the values and principles of the Laudato Si’ (on care of our common home) encyclical into action. Pope Francis declared, 'how inseparable the bond is between concern for nature, justice for the poor, commitment to society, and interior peace.' LS 10. Recognizing these bonds, these relationships, drive our actions.
