K-5 Instructional Support Assistant

Hours per week: 37.5

Key responsibilities:

• Model and integrate virtues and values that support schoolwide core values of reverence, service, and leadership.
• Support classroom teachers in instructional delivery and lesson execution across Kindergarten through Grade 5.
• Provide flexible instructional assistance across multiple grade levels based on school needs.
• Assist with classroom preparation and clerical tasks, including making copies, preparing instructional materials, and maintaining bulletin boards.
• Serve as the primary substitute for K–5 classrooms when needed, ensuring continuity of instruction and a stable learning environment.
• Fulfill schoolwide student supervisory duties as assigned (e.g., lunch duty, recess duty, transitions).
• Exhibit a strong sense of personal accountability and support high expectations for student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
• Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
• Model and actively live the teachings of the Catholic Church, serving as a visible witness of the faith in word and action.
• Support and contribute to the Catholic identity and spiritual life of the school community.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Elementary Education, or related field
• 3 or more years of relevant experience related to Education/Teaching.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, committed to supporting and upholding the mission and teachings of Catholic education.
• Employment is contingent on the applicant passing a full background check and reference checks, and completion of diocesan sponsored Safe Environment Training.
