Position Summary:
St. Raphael Catholic Preschool is seeking Teacher's Assistant. The preschool teacher’s assistant helps the lead teacher with set up, clean up, and administration of lessons. They are positive and helpful role models.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Teacher in meeting the individual needs of the children
- Meet daily with the Lead Teacher to discuss the planned instructional materials for the day
- Take initiative to direct, guide and motivate the children in various areas of the learning center
- Maintain confidentiality
- Make progress on identified annual professional goals
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment
- Prepare materials for presentation
- Support classroom discipline
- Familiarize oneself with the contents of the Parent Handbook
- Assist in leaving the Center in good order
- Attend staff meetings and appropriate in-service workshops (which includes current certification in CPR/1st Aid).
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma
- 4 or more years of professional experience.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training prior to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Credential
Position Start Date: August 2025; opportunity for shadowing ASAP
