Schedule: 27.5 per week

 

Position Summary: 

To support the lead teacher with instruction and supervision of the classroom, aligning with the school mission and values, and bringing joy to the classroom each day.

Key responsibilities:

  • Integrate values and attitudes that support school wide core values of reverence, service, and leadership.
  • Support classroom teacher’s instruction and integration of 21st Century skills in lessons that support school wide instructional programs and goals.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of personal accountability and high expectations for student academic achievement, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
  • Fulfill extra classroom or school-wide student supervisory duties as assigned (i.e. recess duty, lunch duty, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain positive communication and relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Contribute to a positive Catholic school culture driven by continuous professional growth, improvement, and collegial collaboration.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervision duties - such as carpool, recess, and/or lunch duty - as assigned by administration.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will hold an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Elementary Education, or related field.
  • 2 or more years of professional experience relating to Education/Teaching, preferred.
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background and reference check; must complete Diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training upon hire.

 

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, stand, and hear.  The employee is regularly required to walk during and spend extended periods of time on their feet.  The employee regularly performs light work to lift, transport, and/or carry materials.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 

 

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 25-lbs.
  • Active role needs to be able to be mobile for long periods of time.
