Middle School Substitute Teacher

Schedule: On-call, as needed, throughout the school year. 

Position Summary: 

St. Mary Magdalene Catholic School is seeking dependable and enthusiastic daily and on-call substitute teachers to serve students in Grades 6–8. Substitute teachers are essential members of our school community, providing continuity in instruction and helping maintain a positive, faith-filled learning environment when regular classroom teachers are absent.

Key responsibilities:

• Follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the classroom teacher.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and productive classroom environment.
• Supervise students throughout the school day and during assigned duties.
• Promote respectful behavior and uphold school expectations.
• Communicate effectively with administrators and staff regarding classroom activities and student concerns.
• Support the Catholic mission and values of the school in all interactions with students and families.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum level Degree/Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Required years of experience and/or areas of related work: 3+
