Position Summary:
Provides leadership, training and supervision for all aspects of catechesis. Develops and conducts the ministry of catechesis which fosters and enhances Spiritual formation. Attends regional and diocesan meetings as scheduled by the Diocesan Evangelization and Formation Department and the Newton Grove Deanery. Directs and facilitates parish youth ministry.
Key responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development- on-going.
- Develop and implements goals and objectives for catechesis for Children, teens, and adults within framework of Diocesan and Parish Policies.
- Studies Catechetical needs for the entire Parish and develop and implement as necessary.
- Management of Parish Office of Faith Formation.
- Prepare budget for catechesis and administers it within approved parameters.
- Ensure files are maintained on: Admin, SET, and Catechists, participants and confidential information.
- Ensure resources/information are available on all media/bulletin outlets, classrooms and Gathering Area.
- Leadership, recruit, train catechists, youth ministers, program coordinators and SET Team, coordinates retreats.
- Foster all levels of children, teens, and adults, including VBS, faith formation events.
- Coordinate and Assist catechists in preparing liturgies connected with catechetical efforts.
- Strong Catholic Catechist Team Building.
- Communicate Regularly with Pastor on Faith Formation Efforts.
- Perform After Action Reports at end of each Catechetical Event with Catechists and keep on file.

- Coordinate with Bulletin Editor, FB, Website Manager for all Faith Formation Events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training upon hire.
