Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant for Liturgy and Technology supports the liturgical life of the parish through the recruitment, training, and management of liturgical and technical ministries. Responsibilities include managing Ministry Scheduler Pro (MSP), ensuring technical support at all liturgies (projection, streaming and sound), maintaining equipment (in collaboration with IT), and supporting major liturgical events.  In collaboration with the Director of Liturgy and Music and other pastoral staff, this part-time role includes responsibilities during weekdays and select evenings and weekends.  

Key responsibilities: 

  • Identifies the need for liturgical ministers and coordinates targeted recruitment initiatives. 
  • Ensures all liturgical ministers receive appropriate training from designated leaders, with proper documentation maintained. 
  • Manages the enrollment of liturgical ministers in Ministry Scheduler Pro (MSP) and publishes quarterly schedules in a timely manner. 
  • Ensures that technical ministry, including, projection, streaming, and sound, are provided at all liturgies as needed. Recruit, train, and schedule ministers for consistent coverage. 
  • Maintains and supports technical equipment in collaboration with IT and pastoral staff. 
  • Attends weekend liturgies as needed to build relationships with liturgical ministers and provide on-site support. 
  • Provides extended availability during Holy Week to support liturgical preparations and services. 
  • Attends all staff meetings and attends monthly Liturgy Committee meetings. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • HS Education required.  
  • Strong understanding of and passion for Roman Catholic liturgy, with a commitment to fostering full, active, and conscious participation. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and PowerPoint.  
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and skill levels. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of initiative and follow-through. 
  • Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
  • Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a Catholic parish
