Instructional Teaching Assistant (5th grade)

Hours per week: 20-25

Position Summary:

St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School is seeking an Instructional Teaching Assistant to assist in the 5th grade classroom.

Key responsibilities: 

• Assist the lead teacher and grade level team in creating a classroom environment that is consistent with the mission of the school and Parish.
• Provide classroom support to the lead teacher by providing general assistance with daily tasks, planning for the lessons, small group assistance, supervision of students and assistance with special projects.
• Collaborate as a member of the team to provide academic excellence for the students.

Minimum Requirements:

• Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks. 
• Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with elementary aged students.
